Our company is known for building commercial structures, but building relationships is just as important. It all starts with our people. The majority of our employees have been with the company for more than a decade.

Brian Jackson

Brian is one of the founders of the company. He has been certified as a general contractor by the State of Florida since 1990. Brian supervises the company’s shell construction division and specializes in the construction of tilt wall projects. He has been active in building construction for 30+ years. He received a B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1978.

Mark Weaver

Mark joined Ed Taylor Construction in 1994 bringing his 20 years of experience in real estate and the construction business as a Project Manager. In 1995 Mark was named Vice President and has headed the Interior Division since. Backed by a solid team of construction professionals, the interior division under Mark’s leadership has seen phenomenal growth and diversity.

His experience includes working for Trammell Crow Company from 1987-1994 as a commercial construction manager. His responsibilities included architect and engineer negotiations and contracting, general contractor selection, bid analyst, construction project management and final cost reconciliation. Mark attended Central Michigan University studying business and psychology.

Mark lists University of Michigan Football,  H.B. Plant HS Athletics, concert photography and his family as his passions.

 

James Walters

Jim joined the company in 2006. Since college graduation, his experience in finance and accounting include 14 years in public accounting and 25+ years in the industry, primarily with real estate development and construction companies. He is a 1970 graduate of the University of South Florida.

Larry Meckley

Larry joined Ed Taylor in 1993 and is one of the cornerstones of our team. He was instrumental in the development of our Class “A” Interiors Division and stays heavily involved in the daily operations. His 25+ years of field supervision and 14+ years of project management experience remain crucial to the success of the division. He is skilled in the placement of qualified supervision and personnel leading to a completed project and a satisfied customer. Larry’s vast knowledge of architectural, engineering and related studies helps promote accurate bid calculations and timely construction.

Gregory Walbrun

Greg’s experience includes project management, site investigation, development of scopes of work, negotiation of architectural and engineering contracts, design/build projects, review, modification and approval of conceptual space planning, architectural design and engineering, project estimation, scheduling and quality Control. His past focus has been on healthcare design and construction, along with building code and regulatory agency review. He received his BSAS degree in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin. Greg holds a certified Building Contractor license in the state of Florida, is a LEED Accredited Professional and is an active member of the American Institute of Architects.

Tim Nalls

Tim joined Ed Taylor Construction in 2007 as a Project Manager.  Tim has more than 26 years of construction experience including site construction, site development, management & administration of commercial real estate development and construction. Prior to joining Ed Taylor Construction, Tim was the President, Director & Founder of an independently owned and operated program management consulting firm, specializing in pre-construction planning, project management & construction management consulting services.

Ben Jackson

Ben graduated from the University of South Florida where he received a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Business.  As a Project Manager in the shell division of the company, he has managed a variety of projects related to the construction and renovation of commercial and industrial spaces.  Ben is also a licensed General Contractor.  

Matt Jackson

Matt joined the company in 2000 working in the field as a laborer/carpenter as he was going through college. Matt has since worked his way up into a project manager’s position. He received his Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Warner University in 2008. He has since gone on to become a Certified Class A General Contractor by the State of Florida. Matt has extensive knowledge in commercial construction, industrial construction and Class A projects.

Katie Gower

Katie joined Ed Taylor Construction in 2013 as the Director of Business Development. She previously worked with a commercial contractor in St. Petersburg, and understands the intricacies of the commercial construction industry. Katie adds unique experience to the company with a background in advertising, industry relations and development. Katie is responsible for contributing to the growth and development of the company by actively prospecting new business, developing and maintaining key relationships, and creating new marketing programs. Katie attended the University of South Florida, where she received a Bachelor of Science from the College of Education.
